The only thing I could not find a way to change was what the output file was named, or where it went. Please continue to check Canon's website for updates. The DR-C is actually obsolete, so I would expect Canon's priorities to be on updating drivers their current scanners first.

There is no utility for the OS Version you selected. I noticed that the US version is 6 months younger than the UK one 3. The sole warranty, if any, with respect to such non-Canon brand item is given by the manufacturer or producer thereof. Like you, I hope whatever bugs are interfering with Capture On Touch are fixed soon, be they Apple's or Canon's or both.

Nothing shows for the scanner in Image Capture, so that's disappointing but not surprising. I have two of the scanners, the P and the P Canon dr-c usb drivers download, download and update your Canon dr-c usb drivers for Windows 7, 8.
Now, tonight, I find I can't even get the app to start. I experienced the same error message. Dec 5, Very frustrating and amateurish from Canon especially when they have had the OS in their hands since June, but there you have it I've dropped back to using Image Capture as a work-around. Go to device manager and try the update driver option, get Windows to search for updated driver, see if it can find one.
